About the Role

The Lead Developer vacancy is with an established award-winning finance business going through their next stage of technical transformation.

Hybrid – Preferably 2 days per week in the office

As Lead Developer, you will take ownership of a close-knit team of backend developers to deliver software solutions that meet business objectives. This is a high-impact position where you will lead system architecture, collaborate with stakeholders, drive improvement, and deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business growth.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, SQL & MongoDB
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex software systems.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, scalability, and system optimisation.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing and AI integration is desirable.
  • Experience managing and mentoring development teams.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with remote and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, security, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data teams to develop data lakes and integrate AI-driven solutions.
