We're looking for an Application Support Engineer to join the development team of a reputable organisation that have been leading in their industry for over 20 years. Play a crucial role in supporting their flagship business application. This will be onsite for 6 months but will eventually be a hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). What You’ll Be Doing: Providing support to the users and teams of the business applications. Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues—no direct client interaction. Working closely with development teams, presenting insights into potential issues. Utilising SQL and JavaScript to investigate problems and support issue resolution. Playing a key role in a brand-new position, designed to free up time for the developers. What We’re Looking For: Experience in application or technical support (2nd line preferred). Strong troubleshooting skills and a logical approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of SQL and JavaScript for diagnosing and assisting with application issues. This is a hybrid role, 2 days per week on site in Central London. The Role As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust on-premise infrastructure, with a roadmap to selective cloud adoption. You will be responsible for server builds, automation, containerisation, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless operations and scalability. Key Responsibilities: On-Premise Infrastructure – Install, configure, and maintain production/UAT servers (Windows/Linux). Cloud Expansion – Support cloud provisioning (Azure) while ensuring seamless integration with existing on-prem infrastructure. Automation & CI/CD – Enhance deployment and release processes with CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitLab, GitLab Runner). Containerisation – Manage Docker environments and orchestration (Docker Swarm/Kubernetes). Monitoring & Incident Management – Implement proactive monitoring solutions for critical infrastructure (Node, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, SQL Server). Change & Problem Management – Follow change control procedures, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and document solutions.
